Service Showrooms Meißen
Experiencing wellness with all the senses – this is the motto for the
new “Bathroom Visions” showroom that Duravit opened at its Meißen
location. Duravit has completely revamped its showroom in Meißen and,
over an area spanning 600 square metres, has created a product
presentation that gives the visitor a representative cross-section of
the Duravit product world and that attractively presents successful
products from designers ranging from Philippe Starck to Sieger Design.
There is a particular focus on wellness. “Unfortunately, the term
wellness is today being used more and more in both meaningful and
various meaningless contexts”, reported management board chairman, Franz
Kook, at the opening. As a result, there is a danger that it may lose
some of its positive basic content and degenerate into nothing but a
buzz word. Responsible use of the term wellness is consequently very
important for Duravit. Kook: “We deliberately show that is it quite
different from things that only give the customer an apparent feeling of
wellness. We define wellness as the promise of real pleasure and
greater quality of life.”
For Duravit, real pleasure ensues when the senses are stimulated via visual and physical perceptions; we feel good and completely relaxed. This fundamental idea forms the basis for the entire showroom and, using both small and large bathrooms, it shows how the right mix of beautiful design products, high-quality materials, light, colour and diverse wellness functions can be used to create a completely pleasant atmosphere.
However, Duravit doesn’t just present attractive bathrooms but it also allows visitors to experience the quality of a real wellness bathroom for themselves: within the showroom, Duravit has created a dedicated area where anyone can try out the latest wellness products. “It’s like taking a car for a test drive, only it’s testing the bathroom”, announced Kook. To try out the bathroom for themselves, all visitors have to do is register early to ensure that the bathroom is actually free and ready for use on the required date. Trade visitors to the exhibition can also test the bathrooms. Just as the car dealer invites his customers to take a test drive, so the craftsman can invite his customers to the Duravit exhibition where they can test the bathrooms in a pleasant environment. However, the trade also benefits from the exhibition in another respect: in addition to the product presentation, a whole area is dedicated to training. The Meißen location is Duravit’s second training location in Germany and is currently being expanded to create an international training centre focusing on Eastern Europe. The training team from Meißen communicates both exceptional wellness expertise and extensive technical details. “In this way, our partners can personally experience the effect of a wellness bathroom and later communicate the real product benefits authentically and with conviction”, says Kook.
