Between red rocks and the blue sea
In the heart of the Côte d’Azur is the old Provençal fishing village of Sanary-sur-Mer. With its authentic charm it forms a colourful contrast to the cosmopolitan coastal towns of the French Riviera. It is here that the Hostellerie La Farandole is located, making the most of its exceptional surroundings between the interior of the country and the Mediterranean, between luminous red rocks and the turquoise blue water. The architecture of the four-star luxury hotel directly reflects these two facets of the landscape: one side of the hotel building looks out onto the sea, while the other offers a view of the natural surroundings of the Provence. The natural stone and wood building materials also reflect the region, underscoring the natural character of the area.
The modern and refined style of the interior decorations endows the rooms of the Hostellerie La Farandole with a luxurious and comfortable atmosphere. The Polish designer Olga Stupenko chose natural colours for the textiles as a contrast to the dark wood furniture. Guests have five exclusive suites to choose from, which are notable for their light and airy ambience and the material mix of wood parquet, marble and glass.
In the bathrooms the designer references the Mediterranean surroundings once again: the Duravit products from the Starck and 2nd floor ranges as well as Santosa washbasins feature an interesting combination of marble tiles and colourful mosaic stones. The Starck tub has a slanted backrest and neck support for maximum wellness comfort. In the public spa area guests can relax with a massage or care treatments. Console washbasins from Duravit’s Vero range round off the interior design.
Altogether the boutique hotel is remarkable for its well-conceived design concept in a picturesque setting. The Hostellerie La Farandole is a little bit of paradise in the heart of the Provence – authentic, traditional, and yet surprisingly modern.
