In the heart of Dubai's skyline, the Volante Towers in the Business Bay District provide a prominent, vertical landmark on the bank of the canal. Extensive glazing and staggered balconies lend structure to the facades and open up the apartments to the urban backdrop.
The Fraser Nag Partnership Architects were responsible for the architectural planning, while Studio Lipparini and Saporiti Italia attended to the interior design. The residences of around 500 to 1,000 square meters in size combine generous room proportions with individually planned finishings. The room concept is characterized by high-quality materials and precision-crafted custom-made items. Duravit products complement the luxurious architecture in the bathrooms.
Materials in perfect balance
Studio Lipparini and Saporiti Italia have translated the towers' architectural clarity into a calm interior with an emphasis on exclusive materials. Large-format natural stone floors, light-colored limestone walls and dark wooden panels lend structure to the open living areas. A pared-down color palette comprising shades of Crème, Sand and Grey provides the backdrop for custom-made fixtures and select designer furniture. Textile highlights and softly upholstered seating endow the clearly composed rooms with an additional warm touch.
Mineral room design featuring clear lines
The character of the bathrooms is defined by large-format natural stone surfaces with striking grain patterns. Wide countertops incorporate built-in washbasins. Indirectly illuminated niches, linear mirrors and dark wood fronts extend the material palette. Duravit integrates precision-designed ceramics into the bathroom concept in the guise of ranges such as ME by Starck, Starck 1, Starck 3 and the SensoWash® shower-toilet. These ceramics provide a calm contrast to the vivid stone surfaces.
