Service News 31.10.2024 | Architecture in harmony
Perfectly integrated into the coastal landscape, the four-star hotel slots harmoniously into the environment and connects the beach and the town. With its cleverly designed overall concept, SILT combines a casino, a restaurant, and an event space.
The striking building is an unmistakable landmark with its funnel-shaped tower and fluid, organic architecture. TJIP, the interior-design studio involved in the project, created a unique design that is reflected in every corner of the hotel – right down to the bathrooms. Here, TJIP opted for Duravit’s high-quality sanitary objects. “Duravit impressed us with their expertise,” said Thomas Meesschaert, founder and interior designer at TJIP. “The team understood our vision and gave us outstanding advice. Duravit was also extremely flexible, which meant we could order tailor-made versions of the faucets. Thanks to this human factor, there’s no question that we’ll be choosing Duravit again in the future.”
Minimalistic oasis
TJIP skillfully carried on the pared-down, elegant aesthetic of the entire hotel into the bathrooms. The interior designers selected natural materials such as stone, marble, and wood, which lend the bathrooms a sleek yet luxurious charisma. This combination of quality materials creates an atmosphere of timeless elegance.
The sanitary objects from Duravit, including the recyclable Sustano shower tray, products from the Architec, D-Neo, DuraStyle, and Vero Air ranges along with the Circle and Wave faucet programs, are a perfect fit for this pared-down design. They emphasize the minimalistic concept and round it off stylishly, creating a harmonious balance between simplicity and elegance.
Crème and wood rooms with a sea view
Each of the 70 luxurious rooms of the SILT hotel offers a breathtaking view of the expanse of the North Sea. Warm, neutral tones such as Crème, Beige, and White dominate the interior, elegantly contrasted by black accents and natural wood elements as well as simple organic shapes. The TJIP interior design studio consciously deployed sleek, high-quality design elements to emphasize the landscape's expansiveness and the sea's calmness.
Timelessly beautiful, sustainably designed
Sustainability plays a central role in the SILT hotel. Accoya wood is used for the external cladding, which increases the longevity and energy-efficiency of the building. This sustainable material develops a special patina over time which is reminiscent of the wood found in the harbor area. Recycled materials and intelligent energy concepts complement the environmentally friendly design and actively contribute to reducing the carbon footprint.
